The Yonkers Police stated that the boy suffered injuries to the left side of his torso and bruises all over his body, while his father had injuries to his left ankle, wrist, and knee. Both were taken to the hospital.
“Members of our AWARE Crime Control Center and Field Investigative Officers have initiated a criminal investigation into the incident,” authorities said in a statement.
After four days, the police were able to identify the car’s license plate and approached the suspect, identified as Dylan Grant, in the neighboring city. He was cited for leaving the scene of an accident with victims and for a misdemeanor charge.
Grant was released and is scheduled to appear in court on February 19.
